Meet Cheyenne
Hi, I’m Cheyenne! I’m a learning experience designer and current classroom teacher in an adolescent Montessori environment, with over a decade of experience in middle grades and humanities. I’ve spent my career seeing curriculum not just as lesson plans, but as my form of art and expression, designed to make every learner feel truly seen and capable. I’m a proud Tar Heel alum with a B.A.Ed in Middle Grades Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an AIG (Academically/Intellectually Gifted) licensure from Duke University, and a MACTE Secondary I–II Montessori credential from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.
As a neurodivergent educator living with ADHD and dyscalculia, I created Learning Atelier to design inclusive, equitable spaces where we skip the shame and focus on curiosity. Whether I’m designing inquiry-based social justice curriculum or supporting K–12 and adult learners, my goal is the same: empowering and inspiring positive change.Â
When I’m not designing learning experiences, you can find me rooting for the Tar Heels, acting as a personal assistant to my dog daughter Tinkerbell, hiding in a book, watching anime, or working on my first fantasy novel.
